Here we are ! A month that I live in Bali. And concerning food, I have already tested a number of restaurants and warungs on the island. But today, I’m going to tell you about my favorite culinary spots in Canggu. The list is long, but I have selected 5 places where you must go.

The first one is by far Dua Tiga ! What to say about this food paradise… First, the design of the restaurant is very cool with its industrial atmosphere, a small garden in the back and the view of the rice fields upstairs. Secondly, the food is exceptional and you feast on very reasonable prices compared to other restaurants of the same standard. Personally, I recommend the smoothie bowls and the beef which was fantastically good.

The second restaurant is a little different since it is an all-you-can-eat buffet concept. This is called Lupé Canggu. This is not a canteen with a 20 meter buffet, on the contrary, the dishes are fresh and tasty. For this price you will not find better. You eat for the same price and the same quality as all other restaurants but unlimited ! The lunch buffet is excellent for only 79,000 IDR, or 4.93 euros (healthy salads to compose, poké bowl, chicken, soup, potatoes, pies, everything homemade). And each night, Lupé propose a theme, Italian, Mexican, vegetarian, Greek cuisine, burgers, Japanese …

Not far from my home is located Secret Spot. Comfortable and cozy place where you can enjoy your meal on the secluded terrace upstairs in the middle of the roofs of Canggu. Here, consider ordering hummus and roasted vegetables wrap with home-made sweet potato fries or pumpkin soup… a delight.

A great place to brunch is Coffee ‘n’ Oven, a bakery run by French. If you want a breakfast “à la française” (bread, coffee, butter, jam) I recommend it. For my part, I rather opted for pancakes that are incredible. Between pastries, croissants, eggs benedict, quiches and sandwiches, everyone will find its happiness.

Last but not least, let’s talk about Shady Shak. Peaceful place near the rice fields, at the edge of a quiet road. The restaurant is very well decorated (green plants, lots of wood…). Regarding the menu, you have a large choice, the plates are quite plentiful and they propose associations of original flavors, I wanted to try everything !

Bali doesn’t lack of restaurants to feast on low prices, and above all, with menus for all tastes, vegetarians, vegans, etc. So enjoy and savor every bite.
