La Gazette de Bali

Whether you are a tourist or a resident of Bali, if reading your newspaper in the morning is a part of your little habits, get “La gazette de Bali”, the only French-speaking media in Indonesia. You can read French articles about the events of life in Bali, as well as those of the country in general.

This newspaper exists since 2005, almost 12 years. It is distributed in more than 200 places throughout Indonesia. A new one is published every month. It informs us about national or local news. It provide us good addresses as, restaurants or warung, spa, hairdresser, aesthetic salon, gym, bests surf spots, local markets, the best addresses to go out at night… Very useful if it’s your first time in Bali and you don’t know yet the best addresses.

There is also a professional directory, with contact information of hotels, libraries, immigration/visa service, schools, hairdressers, car workshop… and much more. It give us also practical advises, very useful if you are in Bali for tourism. Such as: what to see in Bali, what to do with the children, discover Bali with your lover, means of locomotion, museums…

La Gazette de Bali

Thanks to its cultural agenda, it keeps you informed about of the next events as concerts, theater, exhibitions… It publishes classified advertisements of rentals, sales or other. Personally, my favorite article, the one I expect each month and that will certainly make you want to settle in Bali is: “Mon Bali”. It is an interview of an expat living in Bali which speaks about his story and his life in the islands of the gods.

You can have more articles on their Facebook and Twitter pages in French and in Indonesian, which are followed by thousands of peoples. Or on their website which receive every months between 14 000 and 21 000 visitors. You can also consult the Gazette in PDF format and give a comment thanks to the “parole aux lecteurs” forum.
